Penticton Triathlon Club

Attended by: Sharon McLeish, Richard Szabo, James Palanio, Brad Lee, Doreen Barr, Catherine Mclean.

Minutes Reviewed by Sharon. Questions arose regarding chat pages and Brad discussed the unfeasibility at this time. Was mentioned that the winter triathlon was a success.

Finance report given by Richard Szabo, $4140.80

Old business: Gord was unavailable to answer questions regarding tri club shorts, seems socks are more plausible, James will also talk to Sugoi.

The Injury Prevention seminar may be offered again as turnout of 9 was good! Ed Marbach to organize another date.

Sharon to meet with Neil once more regarding the benefits of joining running club. Brad mentioned the many different tri clubs in BC and the variety of ways of running meetings. Quite a few questions need answering, will joining the running club lessen the work of the executive of tri club. Concern was brought up re the future of the tri club. A meeting of both the running club and Tri club to be held March 14.

New Business:

Jr. Triathlon coaches meeting on March 13, 7:00pm. All who have expressed interest have been contacted, but this is open to anyone. Parents meeting to be held on April 3 at 6:30pm. Concern about the lack of awareness with the kids. Sharon to look into getting schools aware, However there is a max. number of kids that can be coached at a time.

Ed to come up with a lecture schedule. TBA!

The newsletter has come out. Another thanks to those who put it out (Pat and Brad), Also James will look into the Iron News by Wally Hild.

Computrainer will be considered at a future time as questions about the feasibility of transporting, costs, damage, loss, patent infringement still to be addressed.

However a library of Spinervals, Total Immersion videos and other resources will be set up by Ellis. An E-mail to go out regarding other group resources. The question of whether to buy some resources will go out to the web page.
